Un sistema di teleraffreddamento è stato
recentemente allestito nel centro di
Copenhagen, nonché presso altri impianti
di termovalorizzazione in Danimarca, per
la fornitura di raffreddamento nei vicini
centri commerciali, ospedali e uffici.
Anche il famoso impianto di
termovalorizzazione a Spittelau
(Vienna) fornisce teleraffreddamento
e teleriscaldamento per l'ospedale di
Vienna.
Inoltre, l’impianto fornisce ogni anno
il riscaldamento ad oltre 60.000
famiglie.
L’impianto tratta circa 200,000 t/anno di
rifiuti urbani prodotti dai cittadini Viennesi.

Waste­to­Energy è anche teleraffrescamento
